Our job as musicians is this: give relief from the moment-to-moment stress of life. That is our job. It doesn’t matter if you play fingerstyle guitar or progressive metal or jazz. Our ultimate goal is to relieve the pain of existence to the best of our ability. If you can connect with mankind on an emotional level, than you have succeeded as a musician.
